(and your teenagers’) on the ground when you feel you are being driven up the wall!

This is an experiential day teaching techniques and principles that help you to (re)build self-esteem and confidence, and to be more effective when interacting with your teens. To help you to negotiate more and argue less so that you don’t have to have the last word in every argument! To be resourceful and resilient so that your teen has less power/control over you.

NB If you are hoping for quick fixes, magic potions or easy answers, or a day confessing your teenager’s sins, this workshop is definitely not  for you. It is for you if you want to develop your influencing skills and communication skills.

Objectives:

·         Curious Responsive Assertive Focused Thoughtful Yes! (positivity)

·         Developing the Craft of listening in a completely different way

·         Self-awareness, self-motivation, awareness of others, relationship management

·         Techniques that help you relax, remain calm(er) and respond differently

·         Responding in a healing (rather than a hurting) way to attachment difficulties

·         Swapping the four cardinal sins of parenting with the four key parenting roles

About the facilitator:

Michael Mallows FAPHP, has been professionally involved in adoption and fostering for more than 30 years, and much longer personally. The former head of a therapeutic adolescent unit, Michael has a wealth of experience and expertise in many different fields. His training style is informative, not always comfortable, thought-provoking, challenging, unique and entertaining.
